Calvary Online Services Join us Thursday at 7:00 pm and Sunday at 10:30 am Live Service

Saturday August, 1, 2020

It's been a journey and seemingly there is no end in sight. Here's what we are doing and hopefully will be able to do in the coming weeks.

Right now we are having in person services on Sunday at 8:30 and 10:30 am. If we start to get too many, we will add another service. We also have in person service on Thursday at 7 pm.

In addition to the in person service, we live stream the Sunday 10:30 am service and the Thursday 7 pm service.

While we have been meeting we are taking some precautions. Every other pew is blocked, in order to encourage social distancing. We also have sanitizer available at various places, as well as masks, for those that would like to wear one. If you wear a mask as you come in and head to your seat, that would be great! Also, we sanitize between services.

Hopefully, in September we will begin to have children's ministry once again. Rest assured if we do, it would be with some great cleaning/sanitizing and distancing going on.

Thanks for continuing to give, to pray and to serve. We continue to need more people to be involved in tech kind of things, so let us know if that's you.

Overall, things are and will continue to change, however know this, Jesus is the same, and the Word of God is unchangeable.

In Christ,

Pastor Andrew

Just a quick note that we are online starting at 10:30 am on Sunday, March 22nd. We are starting a new book in our teaching, the letter of Colossians. We will worship, pray, hopefully have some interaction and a message from Colossians 1:1-14. You can participate by commenting, praying, singing and worshiping at home (take some pictures and post), continuing to give (online ~new, easier format, with recurring giving options, including giving by account coming soon, or mailed to PO Box 537 Port Angeles, WA 98362), and then discussing the message.

It would be great to have a few group chats/video conferences spring up this week to talk about what God is doing in your heart and life, fears, pray for one another. Using Zoom, we can have up to 40 minute video conference calls (go ahead and download on your phone/iPad/computer).

There will be 2-3, I think devotional type messages from the book of Revelation coming this week, posted on YouTube and our website, and probably Facebook as well.

Here's what I want you praying about. As we look at a few weeks of this, at least most likely, it would be great to get some more involvement. That may mean a few coming over for worship, we'll see. It can also mean you making a short 1-3 minute video: testimony of some sort, reading Scripture, or something else you think about. Record on your phone, send it to me, or save on a computer and e-mail, or put on a usb and we can meet up. It's easy to add videos to the service.

Thanks and Lord bless,

Hi everyone,

Just a few thoughts and some information for you.

Tonight at 6:30 pm we will be going live on

The other benefit of over 100 subscribers to YouTube is that we have our own url channel on YouTube, which is noted above!

This week a break from 2 Samuel and a message entitled “Learning Contentment.” Yes, we have had a recent study from Philippians 4 on this, but this will focus on the learning aspect, looking at Hannah in 1 Samuel 1. There may be a few worship songs as well!

Also, wanted to let you know that Sunday we will be online at 10:30 am. We will begin a study in the book of Colossians “The Supremacy of Christ.” Next week, we will also begin a series of studies in the book of Revelation “Seeing in Jesus.” Still deciding and praying about how often, but likely 2-3 studies a week.

Now, that’s one side of the church, teaching, some worship as well. A couple of other parts of the church is prayer and fellowship. How can we facilitate and encourage these? Several platforms online: zoom,, FaceTime, Skype. These are the main audio/video ways to engage one another (you may know others). Hopefully over the next few days, we will be able to get some groups going. Let’s think outside the box a little, it may not be ideal, it may feel strange, but the challenges we face are best faced together. Zoom, has a 40 minute limit on the free version (we may buy the Pro version/which would enable longer meetings, stay tuned about how that might work).

Looking forward to connecting soon. This e-mail will also be posted as a video on YouTube and Facebook, and our website:

Again, let us know if there are those you know who are in need, there are people ready, willing and able to help. Please share ideas and thoughts in the coming days, we are still early in this process, so let’s use this time to grow in our walk with God, and in spiritual disciplines! More on that to come as well.

In His Great love and with great love,

Pastor Andrew

March 17, 2020

Dear Church,

We wanted to take a moment to address the heightened awareness and public concerns regarding the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Primarily, let's continue to navigate this time of uncertainty in faith through love, not by a spirit of fear. Let us be known as a people who come out from the darkness of isolation and into the light with the hope and resurrection life of Jesus.

That being said, this feels like an unprecedented situation that has been making an impact on our world and our local community. Right now, things are changing day to day. As of today (March 17th), there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Port Angeles. As a church we will do our best to love and care for you, and to keep you informed of changes to our ministries and events as they occur. We are making our best efforts to have an appropriate and balanced approach to COVID-19, and we trust you will do the same for you and your family.

Therefore, as mentioned in our e-mail newsletter yesterday, we are moving to an online service format and so there will not be any gatherings in person for at least the next two weeks. Notice, not an online church, because there still needs to be the fellowship and connection between believers, and because the church is not a building or simply a service, but people and so, for now, we’ll make the best use of the technology we have to share Jesus and His Word. Use your phone, skype, messenger, texts connect, check up on others and love on everyone! One possibility is called zoom, and it allows for multiple people to gather on a video meeting, which would be great for a Bible study/prayer time. There will be further notices about how to watch online, and when, as well as, Lord willing some additional studies put directly onto YouTube (Subscribe at Calvary Chapel Port Angeles).

With great love and in His Grip,

Pastor Andrew
