We’re so excited that you are interested in serving the Lord and His people. Jesus said, “... to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest” Matthew 9:37-38.
A primary qualification is that you feel that God is calling you to get more involved in serving at Calvary Chapel. We believe that serving is one of the greatest blessings that a Christian will experience because God has created us to serve (Ephesians 2:10).
There are a few things that we would expect from those that are desiring to serve. One, you are a Christian and can give a clear testimony of what that means. Two, you are regularly attending Calvary Chapel, and consider it your home church. Thirdly, that you believe you are called, and that you will be reliable, committed and faithful (1 Corinthians 4:2).
Therefore, if you believe that you are ready to step up, we invite you to fill out the application form. In doing so, you are declaring that you will be serving and committed to the best of your ability, in a Christ-like example to others, and in submission to those in authority over you. If at any time, you fail to keep a Godly life/lifestyle and or are causing others to stumble, you may be asked to step down from ministry for a season.
We are not looking for professionals, but for those who make themselves available to be used by God to love, serve, and bless His people.
In His Grip,
Pastor Andrew McLarty
